Being a man and being overly conscious with the way you look doesn’t really go hand in hand. Skin concerns usually connote vanity and might even be considered a little too feminine for a guy, but here I am. A man who just wants to be able to maintain the appearance of my skin especially on my face. Yes, there are many products out there that are specially formulated for men but some of them are just a little too harsh for my sensitive skin. Not very manly of me, right? I just haven’t tried something that suits my tastes and my skin.
When seeking out help from a dermatologist, they not only do procedures, they also offer their own formulation of creams and ointments, but they are a bit pricey compared to commercialized ones. Being a busy man, I don’t really have the time to spare for doctor’s appointments. Spas also offer facial and body treatments, but they also require appointments and could cost quite a bit of money too.
Our faces are our biggest concerns, it is what people see first and what they look at for the most part. I want to achieve and maintain a fresh looking face always, I just want to point out that I am rather a sweater. Arriving fresh to the office is out of the question. With my state after commute, I try my best to refresh and fix myslef before heading to my cubicle.
I just want something that I could do myself in my own time and in my private space. I have been looking around for some time and was a little frustrated until I stumbled upon a device called the DermaBraze MDTM. This handy device was just what I was looking for. It is compact and battery operated so I could put it in my bag and just reach for it whenever I need to use it. It comes with four attachments that serves each own purpose. It comes with three specialized diamond tips for different needs and/or skin types. The diamond tips come in standard, sensitive and precision tips. The DermaBraze has four suction speeds depending on how deep of a clean you would want and which area of the body you are cleaning. The device is also rechargeable so there is no need to be near an outlet in order for me to use it. It also comes with its own pouch which makes it very portable.
I frequently use the sensitive diamond tip attachment. I love it and use it often because it is gentle on my sensitive skin. Exfoliation and deep cleansing is something that I find ideal for dealing with the dirty clogged pores I have as a result of my sweat and the pollution around me. When I don’t take care of my skin and clean it, it usually results in acne, whiteheads and blackhead scattered on face which I seriously get frustrated about. With the DermaBraze, I use it to freshen up in the mornings after my journey to work because it’s discreet to use.Before I start work, I take a quick trip to the men’s room and use the DermaBraze. It’s easy, simple and really handy. The light speed is great for removing dirt and just giving you a lighter freshened feeling. It also boosts my confidence knowing I look and feel clean.
I love getting down to my routine when I get home from work, it helps me unwind and relax. Home is the perfect place for me to get down to scrubbing. The privacy also allows he to feel more in control of cleaning. Nothing beats feeling fresh and clean after a long day’s work, this often leads to a good night’s rest too. After exfoliating my face on a mid to high suction speed setting, I see to it that I moisturize my face too because it is during this time that the skin would absorb it best. I use the soft sponge attachment to help apply the moisturizer. This attachment also gently massages the skin to increase elasticity and make it firmer.
I also use the DermaBraze to cleanse my chest and back. Aside from my face, my chest and back are notorious spots for acne, hard to reach and often sweaty. Microdermabrasion method of exfoliation helps cleaning deep inside the pores to prevent acne without the awful skin irritations. Acne is often caused by clogged pores and overproduction of oil in the glands. Keeping the skin clean and free of dirt that could clog the pores would reduce the chances of having acne. Exfoliating your skin once in a while helps in keeping your skin young and healthy looking so that definitely is something worth doing. This also has the added bonus of minimizing the pores, so they’re not that susceptible to clogging that much. I use the device on a high suction speed setting for these tough areas of my skin for a deep and thorough cleansing.
There are also some stretchmarks on my arms, thighs and stomach due to my constant battle with my weight. I used the DermaBraze on these areas and it has reduced the appearance of the stretchmarks better than any other treatment I’ve used. The precision diamond tip and a mid to high suction speed setting for this area for a more specialized abrasion. The results have been great so far and the stretchmarks don’t look that bad anymore.
The DermaBraze is the ideal product for me, it is definitely what I was looking for and I am really pleased with myself that I discovered it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to look and feel young at the fraction of the cost of going to doctors to achieve a similar result.
